Faheem Ansari , Sabauddin Ahmed shifted to UP

A month after their acquittal in the 26/11 terror attack case, Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed were today shifted from Mumbai's Arthur Road Central Jail to Uttar Pradesh in connection with an attack on a CRPF camp. <br/><br/>The move comes a day after Faheem's lawyer had approached Judge Tahaliyani, who is presently the Principal Judge of session's court, seeking direction for Arthur Road Jail authorities to shift him to UP. <br/><br/>Judge Tahaliyani had asked Faheem's lawyer Khalid Mohammad to approach the Rampur court, as he does not have the powers in the case anymore. <br/><br/>According to the jail authorities, Faheem and Sabauddin were escorted by Mumbai Police to the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in suburban Kurla from where they boarded a train to Uttar Pradesh. <br/><br/>They will now stand trial in UP's Rampur court in connection with the attack on a CRPF camp at Rampur on December 31, 2007 in which eight persons including seven personnel of the paramilitary force were killed.
