Ludhiana has become the first city in the country to provide the facility of lodging complaint with the police through on line facility on its newly launched web portal of the Ludhiana city police. Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal Deputy Chief Minister, formally launched web portal. He also laid the foundation stone of Rs 2 crore project of construction of first Ultra modern semi urban police station of the country at Sahnewal. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Badal said that the main endeavor of the State Government will provide citizen centric Police services to common people in a fair and speedy manner. Mr. Ishwar Singh, Police Commissioner Ludhiana informed that the web portal is a store house on information relating to various facets of police working like information relating to proclaimed offenders, bad characters, missing persons, stolen and recovered vehicles. This also contains copies of FIRs, untraced and cancelled reports of various cases.
