A new study in the United States has revealed that Facebook may actually make people more narrow-minded. This was because people seek out news and views that tally with their opinions. <br/><br/>The finding published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, PNAS contradicts the belief that the social media sites expand our world. PNAS is one of the world's most-cited and comprehensive multidisciplinary scientific journals, publishing more than 3,100 research papers annually. <br/><br/>The study shows social media isolates people, creating and facilitating confirmation biases.
