Extra time for visually impaired candidates at UPSC prelims

Visually impaired candidates appearing for civil services preliminary examination will get 40 minutes extra time in each paper.

This was announced by the Union Public Service Commission today. The announcement came following a directive by Delhi High Court in this regard.

There are two compulsory papers of 200 marks each in the preliminary examination and the prescribed duration for each paper is two-hour.
