Exports grow by 26.5% to $18.8 bn in November

Indian exports registered increase of 26.5 percent in November, 2010 as compared to corresponding period in 2009. According to an official press release, the exports were to the tune of about nineteen million US dollars in last November as compared to about 15 million dollars in the same period in 2009. The imports also registered a growth of 11.2 percent in the same period. They rose to about 27 thousand eight hundred million dollars in this November as compared to about 25 thousand million US dollars in the corresponding period in 2009. The release says that trade deficit was higher than estimated. It said for April to November 2010 it stood at over 81 thousand six hundred million dollars which is higher than the deficit in the same period in 2009. It was over 68 thousand million dollars in this period.
