Exports grow by 17% in Nov 2011

The country’s exports registered an increase of over 17 per cent in November 2011, compared to the corresponding period in 2010.

The imports in the same period, grew by over 40 per cent. According to data released by the Finance Ministry, exports during November, 2011 were valued at over 1,13,500 crore rupees as against over 96,740 crore rupees in November, 2010.

Total imports for the month of November 2011 stood at over 1,82,600 crore rupees compared to 1,29,840 crore rupees in November 2010.

The cumulative value of exports for the period April-November 2011-12 registered an increase of over 35 per cent over the same period last year. The total imports in the corresponding period grew by over 32 per cent.
