The government on Thursday said exports from the leather sector will triple in the coming years from the current about 4 billion US dollars. Giving the information, Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar said in New Delhi, that the government has announced to set up state-of-the-art manufacturing centres or Mega Leather Clusters in seven states with an aim to give a push to the sector. The leather sector is amongst the top 10 foreign exchange earners for the country.
