The induction of expelled Janta Dal United leader Sabir Ali into the BJP has triggered angry protest within the party with senior leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi terming him as a friend of Indian Mujahideen Chief Yasin Bhatkal. Naqvi tweeted soon after Ali was inducted into the party that Dawood Ibrahim could be the next entrant in the BJP.

He alleged that Ali's name had figured in the murder case of noted music magnate Gulshan Kumar also. He said he would convey his protest to the BJP leadership.
