Expatriate Indians and ICC have welcomed the BCCI's move to host some matches of IPL 7 in the United Arab Emirates due to elections in India. A number of Indian Associations in Dubai, Sharjah and Abdu Dhabi said it would add to the popularity of the game in this part of the world. ICC Chief Executive David Richardson while welcoming the BCCI decision, said in a release in Dubai today that the BCCI's decision was a great news for the people of the UAE and the region.Yesterday, BCCI announced that the Indian Premier League 2014 will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bangladesh and India from April 16 and conclude on June 1.
