Exclusive police station for tourists in Kerala

<br/>In Kerala, an exclusive police station for tourists will be inaugurated at Mattancherry in Kochi this evening. The station said to be the first of its kind in the country, will help tourists to clear doubts about passports and visas and help them in case their travel documents are lost. Besides a help desk has been set up at the station in association with the state Tourism Department where details of important places of interest in Kerala are provided. The help desk will also assist in booking taxis and boats at nominal rates for the benefit of the visitors. The police station also houses a museum, where weapons, uniforms and important documents of the state police in the past are displayed. The Kerala Home Minister, Mr Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will open the new police station.
