The Centre is planning to set up an exclusive bank to finance women Self Help Groups across the country. This was disclosed by Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh in Hyderabad yesterday. He said, the Centre will also support the Andhra Pradesh government's plan to start an exclusive bank to finance women Self Help Groups. Mr Ramesh said, the Centre is trying to evolve a consensus on the proposed Land Acquisition Bill. He said, this is a sensitive Bill in which rehabilitation and resettlement of the displaced is also a part. Mr Ramesh said, under the proposed legislation, the land acquisition process will not be completed till the rehabilitation and resettlement package is fully implemented. Mr Ramesh said, the implementation of rural development programmes will play key role in the success of anti-naxal strategies in the country.
