Ex – Servicemen are to get revised pension. Defence Minster A.K.antony says, orders will be issued next month. He said their pension will be revised with a total commitment of 2300 crore rupees.

Addressing the Army Mela at Pangode military camp near Thiruvanathapuram in Kerala, he said it is the government's responsibility to look after the welfare of defence personnel and ex-servicemen. Antony said peace prevails in the country due to dedication and vigilance of 'our armed forces, who are protecting our borders.

The Army also organised an exhibition of ammunition and other armaments as part of the mela titled 'Know your Army'. The army personnel displayed their adventurous skills during the occasion,which was witnessed huge public participation.
