In Uttar Pradesh, one time close lieutenant of Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati and former cabinet Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha has expressed threat to his life.In a letter written to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Chief Minister Mayawati seeking protection from them he had named PWD Minister Nasimuddin Siddiqui and two senior most officials of state government including cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh and Principle Secretary Home Fateh Bahadur as threatening his life.Terming letter of Kushwaha as drama, BSP state president Swami Prasad Maurya has said that after clouded with legal problems he has made such irresponsible allegations.In a statement issued at Lucknow Maurya has said that in his frustration Kushwaha was trying to defame the Minister and government officials as he is no more active member of the party and does not have any roll in party functions.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Kushwaha had resigned from state cabinet after surfacing alleged irregularities in the implementation of National Rural Health Mission during probe into killing of two CMOs at Lucknow .Few days earlier he was removed from all party posts and was denied entry into party functions. He is facing inquiry from Lokayukta of the state on the charges of corruption, misuse of office and disproportionate assets and a PIL is also pending against him at Allahabad High Court.
