The Enforcement Directorate has arrested former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda's aide Anil Bastawade. He was brought back from Jakarta on Tuesday night where he was arrested on January 21 on an Interpol notice.

Bastawade was flown to Ranchi . He is an accused in a money laundering scam. The CBI has alleged that he siphoned off over 250 crore rupees from the Madhu Koda government to pay for coal mine contracts.

A Red Corner Notice (RCN) against him was issued by CBI on the request of the ED which is probing charges of alleged money laundering against the 48-year-old businessman.
