Everywhere in world have no decision making power: Y S Chowdary

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology YS Chowdary observed that women of today, everywhere in the world have no decision making power. Majority of them are in suffering as they are being suppressed and oppressed by men and the societal biases for ages leading them to lose their self esteem and confidence.

Speaking at the National Women's Parliament on second day today, the Union Minister said, it is his personal view that a woman as such does not need any reservations, as their equal partners in the creation. Reservations he said are meant for those who are poor, lacking in talent and backward and who require a handholding. He said, every home is being managed by women and today they have exhibited their prowess in multi dimensional areas where men used to excel. He emphasized that the hand which rocks the cradle has every right on everything that is thought of a prerogative of man's domain and it cannot be denied by any one. Every woman should understand the interdependency equations while working in teams with men. Restoring level playing field for women on par with men is what I would suggest, said Mr YS Choudhary.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu said, for everybody we need support from our family to grow and prosper. One has to convince our families and confidence to succeed our goals. He said, we all pray for our goddesses of wealth, education and power who are woman. Women of today need confidence and they are no inferior to them in any way With technology and IoT women are more comfortable and they are now more on par with their male counterparts. Earlier to work men are preferred than women as most of jobs are used to be physical oriented and laborious which women can't do. But with knowledge based and technology orientation today women are competing with men in work places.

Mr Naidu said, women should be given over 50 per cent preference and reservations in every walk of life, only thing is that they should come forward with confidence and belief in them and take the opportunity. Media personality Saagarika Ghose, MLA Satyaprabha, former IAS officer Alka Sirohi, Kerala Health Minister Sailaja Teacher, Corporate Nara Brahmani, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court Justice G Rohini are also spoke on the occasion.
