Every village in Bangladesh will be connected with Optical Fibre Cable by 2025: State ICT Minister

<span style="color: #222222;">Every village in Bangladesh will have high speed internet connection as they will be connected by the Optical fibre cable by 2025, said the ICT State Minister for Bangladesh, Zunaid Ahmed Palak. Speaking to the media in Dhaka after the elections of the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) on Monday, the minister called upon all the stakeholders to work together to provide the internet as a basic service to the people.<br />''<br />''Referring to the internet as the 'lifeline of the digital economy', Minister Zunaid Palak said that he wanted to bring high speed internet to every household in the same way as electricity has reached the households. He expressed appreciation for the internet service providers in playing an important role in providing high speed internet services to people at an affordable price.<br />''<br />''He assured the internet service providers that he will make efforts to make the import of items like routers, switches tax free. He said the ICT department will set up the 'Digital Network Lab' through ISPAB to keep children safe on the internet and keep the internet content disciplined.</span><br />
