<span style="color: #222222;">Every television channel should act as a public service broadcaster in accommodating views and aspirations of underprivileged sections of society, Prasar Bharati Chairman A Surya Prakash advised on Tuesday.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Addressing the gathering at a book release function in New Delhi, Mr Prakash said a part of the broadcast time of every television channel should be devoted to airing programmes beneficial to the marginalised sections of society, adding that every media person has a certain concern for those who are voiceless and this should also apply to all corporates who run TV channels.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chairman said Prasar Bharati is mandated to deepen democratic values and it is committed to do the same.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The chairman further said that Doordarshan and All India Radio aim to promote classical dance and music.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He pointed out that there are many entertainment channels but it is only Prasar Bharati which protects and preserves the cultural wealth and heritage of the country.&nbsp;</span><br />
