European markets closed lower yesterday and the Dow fell, for the fourth consecutive day, with the market sentiment rattled by stumbling U.S. debt ceiling talks.
The Nasdaq Composite index plunged 0.6 percent, the S&P 500 declined 0.75 percent and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.8 percent.
