Defending Champions Spain have stormed into the semi-finals of the UEFA EURO Cup football tournament. Xabi Alonso celebrated his 100th cap with a goal in either half, as Spain defeated France 2-0 in the third quarterfinal at Donetsk, Ukraine last night. This was the first time that France has lost to Spain in an international game. Spain will now take on Portugal in the first semifinal on the 27th of June. Today, England will clash with Italy in the fourth and final quarterfinal match at Kyiv. The match will begin at 12.15 AM Indian Standard Time. The winner of today's match will play Germany in the second semi-final on the 28th of June.
