Euro 2012: Germany vs Greeks in second quarter-final match

Germany will take on the Greeks tonight in the second quarter-final match of the Euro 2012 football championship. The encounter will be played at Gdansk in Poland. The Germans advanced through Group 'B' with three wins from three games. Greece progressed to the last eight stage as runners-up behind the Czech Republic in Group 'A'.Last night, Portugal became the first team to enter the semi-finals, when they defeated an ultra-defensive Czech Republic One-Nil in the first quarter-final played at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The all-important goal was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 79th minute. Ronaldo headed home a cross from Joao Moutinho 11 minutes from the end to set up a possible semi-final against either world champions Spain or France.
