The European Union(EU) has started a pilot project in three districts of Rajasthan for improving water management in the state. The pilot project has started in Jodhpur,Nagaur and Churu distts. <br/><br/>Addressing a media workshop in Jaipur today Ambassador of EU in India Ms. Daniele Smadja informed that EU will spent 13 million Euro for this scheme and in near future it will be extended in 82 blocks of 12 districts. Under this scheme emphasis will be given on ground water recharge, sanitation and involvement of women and panchayat bodies in local water management.<br/><br/>Ms. Smadja said that EU is working on a project for Solar energy also with India .This 500 million Euro ambitious project will directly help Rajasthan .This amount will be spent on new technologies and research in the field of solar energy.
