European Union has fined Facebook one hundred and twenty two million dollars for giving a misleading information. <br/><br/>European Union's competition watchdog said Facebook had said it could not automatically match user accounts on its namesake platform and WhatsApp, but two years later launched a service that did exactly that. <br/><br/>The European commission said it had imposed a proportionate fine on the technology company to send a clear signal that all firms must comply with EU competition rules.
