European Union (EU) is considering further sanctions against North Korea to prevent the acceleration of the North's nuclear and missile development program. Foreign ministers of the EU met in Brussels yesterday to discuss North Korea and other issues. <br/><br/>At a news conference after the meeting, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini criticized Pyongyang for pursuing its nuclear and missile development program in repeated violation of UN Security Council resolutions. <br/><br/>Mogherini said that the EU is considering the imposition of additional sanctions, but she did not give any details. Mogherini expressed her support for inter-Korean talks between military officials proposed by the South Korean government yesterday.
