The European Union has agreed to call for a global ban on catching Atlantic bluefin tuna, amongst the most commercially prized of all tuna species. The EU has over ruled objections by one of its members Malta. <br/><br/><br/>It will join the United States in pushing for the ban. Stocks of bluefin tuna have collapsed in recent decades.<br/>
