Ethnic fighting continue in Kyrgyzstan

Ethnic fighting is spreading in southern Kyrgyzstan where fighting between Kyrgyz and ethnic Uzbeks is continuing into a third day. There is heavy fighting around the city of Osh and witnesses speak of armed groups of Kyrgyz men opening fire on Uzbeks and setting buildings alight. Official figures say at least 80 people have been killed. At the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border there are hundreds of women and are quite desperate for help. Meanwhile, aid agencies are warning that unless the international community intervenes immediately to stop outbreak of violence there will be a full blown humanitarian disaster.
