Ethiopian runners won both the Men's and Women's titles in the eighth TCS World 10 Thousand metre run in Bengaluru on Sunday, overwhelming traditional powerhouse Kenya. Mosinet Geremew bagged the Men's title clocking 28:16 seconds, while his teammate Fikadu was just two seconds behind for the second place.The title honours in the women's section has gone to Mamitu Daska who covered distance in 31:57 seconds. Among the Indians, Suresh Kumar, on his third appearance in the event, eclipsed the course record for the local runners by clocking 29 minutes 49 seconds. The former Asian junior champion over10,000 metres received a course record bonus of Rs 200,000 over and above his winning purse Rs 250,000. Tamil Nadu's Suriya Loganathan won the title in Indian women's category with a time of 35:58 seconds.
