The Ethics Committee of Rajya Sabha will meet this evening to discuss the matters related to member of the House and industrialist Vijay Mallya. The Committee will deliberate on the alleged unethical behavior of Mallya as he had left the country following the tightening grip of probe agencies to recover unpaid debts to banks. He represents Karnataka in the House as an Independent MP.<br/><br/>The Committee examines cases concerning the alleged breach of the Code of Conduct by members and also cases concerning allegations of any other ethical misconduct. If a member is found to have indulged in unethical behavior or misconduct, the Committee may recommend censure, reprimand and suspension of the MP from the House for a specific period.<br/><br/>The government has already revoked the passport of the liquor baron to ensure his return to the country.
