The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will provide all medical facilities to workers in both the organised sector as well as the un-organised sector. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour and Employment, Bandaru Dattatreya said this, after laying the foundation stone of ESIC Nagar in suburban Andheri in Mumbai yesterday. The ESIC Nagar will be constructed at an estimated cost of 350 crore rupees.<br/><br/>The Minister later inaugurated a 300-bed ESI Hospital in suburban Kandivali. Mr Dattatreya spoke about reforms undertaken by ESIC recently like Abhiyan Indradhanush for ensuring daily change of bedsheets in its hospitals, medical helpline 1800 11 3839, a special OPD for senior citizens and differently-abled persons and online access to health records. The Union Minister also announced construction of a 200-bed ESIC Hospital at Butibori in Nagpur for which Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, assured the land.
