Employees State Insurance Corporation has informed that it has been providing treatment to migrant workers with valid medical benefit entitlements irrespective of their location. <br />''<br />''According to the corporation, the number of insured people in Maharashtra stands over 48 lakh while the number of employers stands a little over 1.76 lakh.<br />''<br />''<br />''Regional Director of ESIC Maharashtra, Pranay Sinha has informed that migrants having valid medical benefit entitlement can avail treatment at any nearby ESIC hospital in case of emergency. <br />''<br />''<br />''Besides its 15 hospitals and 55 dispensaries across Maharashtra, the corporation has further tied up with 264 private hospitals to ensure proper care and treatment to all its members. <br />''<br />''Mr. Sinha said patients getting tested for Coronavirus at any ICMR-approved lab, are getting reimbursement. He further said that the cost of medicines for chronic diseases, as prescribed by ESIC hospitals or medical establishments tied up with the Corporation will also be reimbursed, once things normalise. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has informed that Rs 1 crore 47 lakh have been refunded to patients who were charged above the State-approved prices. He said that Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has so far addressed over 1,000 complaints of overcharging, involving more than 37 hospitals. </span><br />
