<span style="color: #222222;">Labour and Employment minister Bhupender Yadav informed the Lok Sabha that the government considers revising the pay ceiling from time to time, however, at the moment there are no pending proposals with the government.<br />''<br />''Mr. Yadav was responding to N.K. Premchandran's question if the government would revise the 21,000 rupees cap for eligibility to entitlements under the ESIC.<br />''<br />''The minister apprised the House about the Social Security Code implemented by the Ministry to include the population, not a part of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) scheme.<br />''<br />''Mr Yadav added that in the previous board meeting of ESIC, it was decided that the health of workers and potential diseases be determined as per the specific occupation of the worker.<br />''<br />''The minister said ESIC has also digitized various services provided by it including registration of employers and establishments and demographic registration of employees. Mr. Yadav also said the Code on Social Security, 2020 has been passed by Parliament which envisages expansion of facilities of ESIC at all India levels. The minister informed some major initiatives taken by the ESIC to improve quality and strengthen governance like approval for setting up of 54 additional ESI hospitals.</span><br />
