As a result of the vigorous ticket checking drive conducted by Eastern Railway (ER) all over its jurisdiction from 29 April to 5 May, 2016, altogether 38,723 persons were detected travelling without or with improper ticket and for carrying non-booked luggage. An amount of 74,52,655 rupees were realised from those offenders.<br/><br/>ER has announced that the drive will continue against ticketless travelling and carrying of non-booked luggage. Passengers have been requested to travel in trains with proper ticket/authority and with dignity.<br/><br/>
