Equity index provider MSCI has reclassified equities across a broad spectrum of markets as part of its semi-annual review. It has also added Twitter to its all world index. UAE and Qatar have been upgraded from the status of frontier markets to the emerging markets. 10 Qatar companies and nine United Arab Emirates companies have been added to its all world index. Qatar National Bank, Industries Qatar and National Bank of Abu Dhabi will be the biggest additions to MSCI emerging markets index. Its three largest additions to the all-world index will be Twitter, American Airlines and Intesa Sanpaolo. All changes will be implemented from May 30 onwards.
