The Centre today said that Employees' Provident Fund Organisaton, EPFO, has settled nearly 119 lakh claims during 2015-16. Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said Employees's Provident Funds Scheme claims complete in all respects shall be settled with 20 days.<br/><br/>He said EPFO has allotted a unique Universal Account Number, UAN to its members for portability and consolidation of all previous accounts.<br/><br/>The employees whose details like Aadhaar and Permanent Account Number and Bank Account Numbers have been seeded in their UAN and whose UAN have been activated by their employers, may submit claim forms directly to the EPFO without attestation of their employers. <br/><br/>The Minister also informed the House that there over one lakh cases are pending for settlement. He said National Electronic Fund Transfer and Core Banking Solutions have been introduced for provident fund payments.<br/><br/>Over 99 per cent of all payments, including monthly pension payments, are effected electronically.<br/><br/>
