Environment ministers from across globe busy to thrash out agreement on climate change

In Andhra Pradesh, the agitation supporting the Unified State intensified in Rayalaseema and Coastal regions on Tuesday, even as the political uncertainty continued over Telangana issue. State Cabinet is meeting Tuesday evening with the Ministers softening their stand on their proposed resignations.<br/><br/>On the other hand, stressing on their support for the unified state, the MLAs belonging to Rayalaseema and Coastal regions who tendered their resignations, have proposed to call on the Governor. They have also urged the speaker to accept their resignations. Meanwhile, hectic political parleys across the party lines are underway.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent reports, posing severe hardships to commuters, agitators have held protest demonstrations, rasta rokoo and rail Rokoo for several hours today at many places in Rayalaseema and Coasta regions. Traffic has come to a grinding halt on National Highways near Vijayawada, Tirupathi and Viasakhapatnama. Several express trains are running behind schedule due to Rail Rokoo conducted by all party members in support to the unified state.<br/><br/>On the other hand, tension prevailed in the University campus in Ananthapur with the agitating students resort to stone pelting at police. The agitation took violent turn at several places in these regions, damaging public and private property.<br/><br/>Several MLAs belonged to these regions are seen leading the agitations in their respective districts following the winter session of Assembly adjourned sine die on Monday.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Lok Sabah Member L Rajagopal who has been taken into custody in Hyderabad and shifted to Vijayawada as a preventive measure to maintain tranquility in the capital city has begun fast in support of the Unified state. He began his fast at the Swarajya grounds in Vijayawada even as supporters across the board extended solidarity.<br/>
