Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar today flagged off 50 Central Pollution Control Board, CPCB teams for pollution control in Delhi and NCR. The teams will visit Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Jhajjar, Panipat, Sonepat in Haryana and Bhiwadi, Alwar, Bharatpur in Rajasthan. These teams will do the spot reporting of major air polluting sources like construction activities, dumping of garbage and construction waste, burning of garbage and industrial waste in open areas with the use of SAMEER App. The data will be shared with concerned agencies through an automated system for speedy action. These teams will specifically focus on hotspot areas where the problem is aggravated.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Mr Javadekar said that only around 4 to 5 per cent air pollution is attributable to stubble burning, rest are local factors. He urged the Punjab government to ensure that the stubble is not burnt.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, anti-pollution measures under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP)  has  come into force from today in the Delhi-NCR region. Delhi Government has banned use of electricity generators, except those needed for essential or emergency services, in the national capital.  The essential services include health care facilities, elevators, railway services, Delhi Metro, airports and interstate bus terminals and the data centre run by the National Informatics Centre.  Power companies have been directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Environment Pollution (Prevention & Control) Authority, EPCA had earlier directed that large construction projects, including highways and metro, will have to provide undertakings to state pollution control boards and pollution control committees that they will assure adherence to the prescribed norms for dust management. It also  said, industries, particularly in the Red and Orange category, will provide an undertaking that they will use only authorised fuel and will not operate without adequate pollution control measures.</span><br />
