The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become the first country in the Middle-East to begin work on environment-friendly government offices, known as 'green buildings'.<br/><br/>According to Official Emirates news agency, the new buildings will be able to withstand environmental challenges and contribute to providing a sustainable environment-friendly workplace.<br/><br/>In order to contribute the region's environment in the long run, the project will contribute towards energy conservation, water conservation, promoting public health, reducing harmful emissions.
