Environment and Forest Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has stressed the need for preservation of the Ozone Layer and mother earth. Addressing a function on World Ozone Day in New Delhi today, Mr Vardhan urged the people to think what they will leave for future generation and start working for preservation of natural resources from today. <br/><br/>He said entire world is looking towards India on the issue of climate change. The Minister said only awareness and agreements will not work in this direction and there is need for positive action at ground level for the preservation of the Ozone Layer. <br/><br/>Ozone day marks the commemoration of the date of signing of the Montreal Protocol in 1987 on substances that deplete the Ozone layer. It is mainly intended to spread awareness of the depletion of the Ozone Layer and search for solutions to preserve it.
