Chief Election Commissioner Dr SY Quraishi has called upon the administrative officers of the state to ensure hundred percent enrolment of voter and distribution of Electorate Photo Identity cards (EPIC). Talking to media persons at Lucknow Wednesday evening he said the names of about one core 70 lakhs voters are still missing from the voter's lists in the state. Referring to complaints from political parties about biased behaviour of state bureaucracy he emphasised that neutral behaviour of poll officers will be uncompromised during the elections. Dr. Quraishi informed that Chief secretary of the state has been asked for implementing transfer policy of the Commission before issuance of notification.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that the Commission has clearly indicated that misuse of money power in the forthcoming assembly will not be tolerated. Full commission asked the administrative officers for taking all possible measures in this regard.The CEC also released a CD on awareness campaign in the state featuring India Cricket Team captain MS Dhoni appealing to the people to participate in the poll process. The Commission was on three day visit to the state.
