The process of enrollment of existing registered dealers of Haryana under HVAT Act, 2003 to the Goods and Services Tax, GST system commenced today and it will continue up to 31st December. The GST provides for provisional registration of all existing dealers under the Act whose PAN has been validated with the Central Board of Direct Taxes, CBDT.Stating this at Chandigarh today, an official spokesman said that for the purpose of obtaining provisional registration under GST, the existing dealers are being provided a provisional ID and Password.He said that the existing dealers are required to register themselves on GST System Portal www.gst.gov.in using the provisional ID and Password and would be required to furnish their mobile number and email id of the authorized signatory of the business entity at the time of registration on GST System Portal. An Application Reference Number (ARN) would be provided to the dealers for future reference after successful registration on Portal, he added.The spokesman said that a provisional certificate would be provided to only those dealers who have successfully registered themselves. No fee would be charged from the existing registered dealers for getting them registered.
