An enquiry into an alleged corruption by members of the Pakistani cricket team begins today in Qatar. The former captain Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer have denied involvement in a batting scam. All the three were provisionally suspended after the allegations of corruption surface during last year's tour of England. A British newspaper said they were working for an alleged gambling syndicate. They were accused of manipulating parts of the game in a scam known as spot-fixing which they denied.
