EngVsAus: Buttler serves up series success for England

A scintillating century from Jos Buttler gave England a 16-run win and a one-day international series victory against Australia in Sydney today. Sent in to bat after the hosts won the toss, England made 303 for six in their 50 overs. Buttler recorded his fifth ODI century and remained unbeaten on exactly a hundred. The other notable scorer was Chris Woakes, who was not out on 53. The hosts were always struggling in their chase and eventually managed only 286 for six.The result gave England an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match ODI series, a remarkable turnaround after Australia had trounced the tourists 4-0 in the Ashes Tests.
