England registered an emphatic 10 wicket victory over India in the second test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai Monday and brought the 4 test series level at 1-1. Resuming at a precarious 117 for seven after conceding a vital 86-run first innings lead, the Indians were bundled out for a paltry 142 within an hour's play on the fourth morning. Skipper Alstair Cook and Nick Compton crossed the victory target of 57 runs in 9.4 overs.England spinner Monty Panesar claimed 6 Indian wickets for 81 runs in the second innings raising his wicket haul in both the innings of the 2nd test to 11.
