England resume their first innings against India

Resuming at their score of 217 for 3 at lunch on the second day of the first cricket test against India at Lord's on Friday, England were inching towards piling up a respectable score. The hosts were 276 for 5, when reports last came in.Kevin Peitersen with a century to his credit and Matt Prior were at the crease. Praveen Kumar claimed three wickets that fell on Friday. While he trapped Jonathan Trott leg before wicket for 70, he lured both Ian Bell and Eoin Morgan to edge the ball to land safely in Dhoni's hands. With Zaheer Khan remaining off the field due to cramps in thigh , there was a role reversal for captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for some time. Handing over the job of wicket keeping to Rahul Dravid, Dhoni bowled a few overs in the post lunch session.
