On the second day of the Egdbaston Cricket Test, Hosts England will resume their first innings against India on the overnight score of 84 for no loss. Skipper Andrew Strauss on 52 and Alistair Cook on 27 were at the crease when the stumps were drawn on Wednesday. In the first innings, India was all out for a modest 224.England, after opting to field first, got off to a perfect start as India's hope Virender Sehwag was sent back to the pavilion on the very first ball he faced. After Sehwag's wicket, no one from the top order could really steady the Indian ship as wickets kept tumbling and India were 111 for 7 in the post lunch session. It was the seamers who yet again did the trick for England. Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan bagged 4 wickets each. Amidst India's woes, Captain MS Dhoni found some form with the bat, helping him team to cross the 200-mark. He scored a battling 77.
