England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka entered the super eight stage of Twenty20 Cricket World Cup Championship. West Indies and Team India are already in the elite group. The match between England and Ireland was washed away due to heavy downpour last night. England qualified for super eight stage for their superior run rate than Ireland. Put into bat England eked out a moderate 120 for eight in the stipulated overs. The rain halted the match soon after Ireland started chasing a victory target. The match was abandoned. Earlier, New Zeland beat Zimbabwe by 7 runs under Duckworth Lewis method in another rain marred group 'B' match and qualified for Super Eight. Sri Lanka who finished second in group "B" also joined the group. Today Australia will take on Bangladesh while South Africa meet Afghanistan to decide the qualifiers from Group 'A' and 'C'. Carrebien islands will also witness another mega-event as ICC Women T-20 Cricket World-Cup will kick off with former Champions Australia taking on South-Africa at Bassetere Islands.
