England inflicts innings defeat on Australia in Nottingham Test to regain Ashes

England won the fourth Test against Australia at Nottingham on Saturday by an innings and 78 runs and regained the Ashes with an insurmountable 3-1 lead in the five-match series. Starting the third day's play at Trent Bridge, at their overnight second innings score of 241 for seven, Australia were all out for 253. The visitors were trailing by 231 runs in the first innings.England's pace bowler Stuart Broad who took eight wickets in the Australian first innings was declared Man of the Match. In the second innings, Broad claimed one wicket.England won the Test with two days and more than two sessions to spare. The fifth and final test at The Oval, will begin on the 20th of this month. England have won five of the last seven Ashes series, and the last four at home. The scores: Australia – 60 and 253.England – 391 for nine declared.
