England beats India by 319 runs, takes 2-0 lead in 4-match series

Tim Bresnann took five wickets on the fourth day yesterday as England demolished Team India in the second cricket test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. With this second consecutive defeat, visitors India are now down in this 4-match Test series, 2-0. England resumed the fourth day on their overnight score of 441 for 6 before bundling out for an imposing 544 in their second innings. India had a lead of 67 runs in the first innings due to which their victory target was cut down to 478. India began their chase in the pre-lunch session and were 8 for 1 at lunch. From there on wickets kept tumbling as India were left in tatters at 68 for 6 at tea. Then in the final session, India were all out for 158, losing the match by a massive 319 runs. India will now have to win the remaining two matches to maintain their number one status. The third test will be played at Birmingham from the 10th of August.
