England beat India A by 3 wickets in warm-up game

England defeated India 'A' by three wickets in their first warm-up match in Mumbai today, ahead of the limited overs series. Asked to bat first, the MS Dhoni-led India side made 304 for four in the stipulated 50 overs. Ambati Rayudu top-scored with a fine unbeaten century, while Dhoni was not out on 68. The other notable scorers were Shikhar Dhawan 63 and Yuvraj Singh – 56. England surpassed the victory target of 305 by making 307 for seven in 48.5 overs. Sam Billings was the top scorer with 93, while Jason Roy made 62. England will have their second warm-up practice game in Mumbai on January 12 against another India A side to be led by Ajinkya Rahane.
