<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, the Numaligarh Refinery Limited, NRL at Golaghat district is contributing towards the goal of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. Talking to AIR Correspondent, Director (Technical) of the company Bhaskar Phukan said that steps are being taken for the benefit of local manufacturers, workers and contractors. Mr. Phukan also said that emphasis has also been given in skill development for the benefit of the youths.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, the NRL with the Mini Ratna PSU status has engaged 1000 workers at Numaligarh in 2 major projects. Technical Director of NRL Bhaskar Phukan said that 700 people are working in the bio refinery project where bamboo will be converted into ethanol. The project will contribute to bio fuel in the region. He said that this year NRL will procure Rs 350 crore material where Indian vendors can take part in the process. Mr Phukan informed that NRL has also invested in skill development and running&nbsp; ITI programs at Golaghat.</span><br />
