Union Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has asked exporters to actively engage with the Government to resolve the problems being faced by them. After giving away best performers awards in exports at a function organized by the Federation of Indian Exporters Associations in Chennai last night, she said the exporters are facing a range of issues like currency volatility and poor demand due to shrinking global economy that leads to poor demand. The Minister pointed out that the World Trade Organization is in the process of revising the global exports scenario for a second time. Ms Sitaraman assured that the Government is willing to work with exporters to address their sectoral issues.
